60 years Kleiber - a year full of suprises, news and activities.
Inauguration and start up of another high-bay warehouse with more than 1,700 Euro pallets and expansion of warehouse logistics.
Kleiber plans and expands its headquarters in the industrial zone Röthenbach and built a new office and storage rooms to meet the growing production requirements.
50 years of Kleiber + Co. GmbH. What began as a small business 5 years ago with only a small number of employees, has grown to company with over 50 people. Kleiber distributes fashion and haberdashery to over 15 countries worldwide.
Time to extend: With the extension building including a high-bay warehouse it is now possible store more than 500 Euro pallets.
A new facility was built in the Wigglis industrial park near by the town Röthenbach. the new, modern premises were oppupied in September, 2000.
The 40th anniversary of the haberdashery factory Kleiber + Co. was celebrated. For more than four decades (1958 - 1998), haberdashery has been successfully represented in the German and European markets.
Egon Felder and Roland Hartsch became managing directors of
Kleiber + Co. GmbH.
Egon Felder, Edeltraud Cichella and Roland Hartsch become partners of the company, managing the firm jointly.
Beginning of Far East import business.
Introduction of KLEIBER brand name products in the new sales territory established in the former East Germany.
With the acquistion of varous licences from televion series like "Biene Maja", "Pinocchio" etc. the company began to produce embroidered and printed appliqués. A complete line of shoulder pads was included in the company's offerings.
Ground was broken in 1973 and 11 months later the company was able to move into the new quarters in Lindenberg.
The first merchandise catalogue was produced for haberdashery. This included the following products: new trouser pockets; laundry tags; iron-on textiles; repair and decorative patches for blue jeans and many more articles.
This year marked the first major milestone for Kleiber + Co. Increasing turnover made it advisable to produce our own novelties and household linens. The number of employees continued to grow and the old headquarters no longer provided enough room for the company’s needs. A branch operation was opened in Bregenz/Austria.
This was the beginning of the Kleiber + Co. sales company. Hans Bogner, Erich Dobler and Hans Kleiber started with the sale of iron-on haberdashery articles under the sales management of the SÜDRA marketing company.
At the time, the area of work was advertising and motivation research for domestic as well as foreign companies of various industries. Ten years before the founding of Kleiber + Co., in 1948 the SÜDRA advertising company Bogner + Co. was registered in the commercial register of the Weiler / Lindenberg district court.
